| Description: | Sunday cruises are starting again for the 2019 season! Sunday April 28th will be our first outing (aka Breakout Cruise). Now, I am counting on good weather and as long as it doesn’t snow, we are going rain or shine.
We will meet at the Maverick Center parking lot, 3200 S Decker Lake Dr, West Valley at 9:00 am. I have chosen a route to take us west on I-80 to Skull Valley Road where we will head south to Dugway. From Dugway we will turn back North on the old Lincoln Highway to Rush Valley. There is a farm store along the way which I believe it’s called Planet Goat. Hopefully it’s open so we can check out the goats and everyone needs to check out the restrooms; I won’t say anymore. From there we will turn North on the old Mormon Trail to Grantsville before heading to Tooele for lunch at the Bonneville Brewery. After lunch we will head South to Stockton and then on to Ophir for a quick stop before heading to Fairfield, Cedar Fort, Lehi and home. Plan for a typical spring day; long sleeves, pants and maybe a light jacket or windbreaker. Have some snacks and drinks in the car as well. If everything goes well, we should be back to Thanksgiving Point between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm. I plan to have video equipment including the drone, so be prepared for two stops minimum (one on Skull Valley Road and one on the Lincoln Highway) to record some year-end footage for the awards banquet. |
