4 Day adventure to beautiful Colorado to participate in a car show at the Weld County Fair with about 160+ other Corvettes, and then onto a night in famous Estes Park, Colorado and the next day crossing over Trail Ridge Pass, the highest (12183 feet) paved mountain pass in the United States and continuing one of the most beautiful mountain drives in America. Then a night in Vernal and if time permits a look at some dinosaurs. Bring your Lifetime US Parks Pass with you

July 30th We will leave from the Smiths Parking lot on 700W and 5300 South at 7Am on 30 July. We will follow I-80 up Parleys Canyon and meet the north group at the Echo Canyon rest area 33 miles up I-80 (about 2 miles from the I-80/I-84 Junction) toward Evanston at 8:30.
Next stop will be Little America along the I-80 east.
Rock Springs Elk Street exit, go north for Pit stop at Flying J about 1030AM.
In Rawlins, take last exit then go a bit north to Penny’s Diner, 2005 Daley Street, we will stop for lunch.
Brief rest stop is Abraham Lincoln Memorial off the Happy Jack Road exit.( Only 90 miles left to travel.)
At Cheyenne we will stop at flying J when we meet up with the I-25 then go south on I-25 to the Highway 14 (Ault exit) and go east to US85 south to Greeley. We go west on the US 34 Bypass toward Loveland and our overnight stop will be the Greeley Super8, 2423 west 29th Street Phone number is 970-330-8880. Rooms are $132 for queen or king I have 10 rooms on hold, just mention me or the Corvette Club.
July 31st Early start in the morning, we’ll eat at IHOP just to the west ˝ block then onto the Corvette show and Weld County Fair at Island Grove Park, registration starts at 9, show is from 10 to 2.
After the car show we will take off, pass through Loveland, Co, up Big Thompson Canyon to Estes Park. Our lodging is at The Columbine Inn, 970-586-4533, address is 1540 Big Thompson Ave. Queen rooms are $178, kings are $188, free continental Breakfast. Estes Park is a world famous resort town.
August On 1st, Leaving Estes about 9:15AM we will head for Trail Ridge Pass, (all the military and seniors need to bring their lifelong National Park Pass). Its about 2 hours of sensational driving, traversing the 12,183 ft. pass that will probably have 6 ft. snow piled high on the both sides of the road. Lunch in Grand Lake, Co. then we will stop in Steamboat Springs for a pit stop. Another quick stop in Dinosaur, Co. then we will spend the night in Vernal at the Horizon Hotel, 1624 W US 40, 435-789-4326, king rooms are $70, double queens are $75. call and mention me or the Club again. Free Breakfast there.
August 2nd, We will leave Vernal at about 9:30, to stop in Duchesne briefly, then onto Heber for lunch at the HUB. We should get home about 2 or 3 the afternoon of the 2nd.
