Description:

This will be our second in a series of six monthly Sunday cruises this summer. This will be our biggest one day cruise planned for the 2019 season. It will be a full day of cruising and sightseeing as we make a big loop around the Uintah Mountain range.

This cruise just so happens to fall smack dab on Memorial Day weekend, so hopefully; 1 – we will get a couple of cars to come and 2 – we won’t have any issues with the roads. Not long ago, we had snow on Memorial Day weekend. Hopefully there will be no more snow and the roads will not be inundated with holiday travelers.

We will start at the Walmart Parking lot, 2705 Parley’s Way at 9:00 am. North members can meet at the Harmon’s parking lot at Farmington Station at 8:15 am departing shortly after.

We will travel I-80 over Parley’s Canyon to Evanston, WY. A quick stop in Evanston for restroom, drinks and snacks before continuing to Fort Bridger.

At Fort Bridger, we will stop to visit the Fort Bridger State Historic Site. It’s $5.00 per car for non-resident visitors.

We will then continue on to Manila and stop for a restroom break before heading to the Sheep Creek Overlook and then lunch at Red Canyon Lodge at approximately 1:00 pm.

After lunch we will take photographs at Red Canyon and then visit the Flaming Gorge Visitor Center.

We will return home through Vernal, Duchesne and Heber stopping in Vernal to fill up with fuel and use the restroom.

Itinerary:

North Members meet at Harmon’s, Farmington Station Park at 8:15 am, depart 8:30 am

All members rendezvous at Walmart, 2705 Parley’s Way at 9:00 am

1st stop - Restrooms, drinks and snacks, Evanston, WY

2nd stop - Fort Bridger State Historic Site

3rd stop - Chevron, Manila

4th stop - Sheep Creek Overlook

5th Stop - Red Canyon Lodge, Lunch and photos

7th stop - Flaming Gorge Visitor Center

8th Stop - Fuel, drinks, snacks and restroom, Texaco Top Stop, Vernal

9th Stop - Restroom, Sinclair, Duchesne

10th Stop - Heber

Plan for a long day; with stops and lunch it will possibly be close to 9 hours. I am hoping for nice weather; possible shorts, short sleeve shirt, maybe a light jacket or windbreaker when we get to Flaming Gorge. Bring your camera, some sunscreen, money for lunch and, as always, a great attitude ready for adventure.

Come prepared with a full tank of gas and then filling up again in Vernal when returning home.

North Members:
	Travel I-15 or Highway 89 South to Farmington Exit I-15 at Exit 325 or Highway 89 at Park Lane Turn right onto Park Lane Follow Park Lane to Station Parkway Turn left onto Station Parkway Follow around round-about to parking lot in front of Harmon's Grocery Store

All Members:
	Take I-80 East towards Park City Exit I-80 at Exit 129 (Foothill Drive) You will loop around and head North on Foothill Drive Stay to the right and immediately exit Foothill Drive at Parley's Way Walmart Supercenter will be on your immediate right after crossing under Foothill Drive From I-215 East belt loop heading North Exit I-215 at Exit 1 (Foothill Drive> Stay to right and immediately exit Foothill Drive at Parley's Way Walmart Supercenter will be on your immediate right after crossing under Foothill Drive
